Greenfaulds High School

A striking £32M replacement school, with low carbon aspirations while creating a sense of light and wellbeing. Protected by smoke ventilation provided by Kilpatrick Blane Services.

About The Project

Completed in 2016, this high tech school designed by Norr Architects and delivered by Morrison Construction brings new learning facilities to over 1,300 students. Built around a central hall and courtyard, the building utilises extensive glazing and louvres to flood the space with natural light and natural ventilation for a sense of space and wellbeing.

Designed to achieve an energy efficient, low carbon campus, the school achieved a BREEAM very good rating. The new, three storey structure, located within the grounds of the existing school is protected by smoke ventilation across the building provided by Kilpatrick Blane Services and interlinked with the fire alarm system.
